Creamed chicken-and-biscuit dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington. A free-will offering will be accepted. Peters Township High School cheerleaders will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nov. 16 at St. Benedict the Abbot Church in McMurray. There also will be a 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction and various pancake-flipping, eating and decorating contests. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from any high school cheerleader in advance. Advance tickets also can be purchased at the Dairy Bar in McMurray from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 10. Tickets at the door will be $8. WOMEN of Southwestern Pennsylvania Inc. will hold its annual grant recipient dinner Nov. 21 at Bella Sera Event Venue in Cecil Township. After donating its largest amount ever to local women’s and children’s organizations, the group has invited a member from each organization to discuss how they used the money.
