4-H members hold Activity Night
Washington County 4-H recently held its Activity Night to help members improve their public speaking and demonstration skills.
Twenty-eight members gave demonstrations, impromptu speeches and public speaking and theatrical presentations. Those who received a blue ribbon qaulified for the 4-H Regional Activities Day in Westmoreland County.
The following winners, in order of finish, received cash prizes of $75 and a plaque for first place; $50 for second place; and $25 for third place:
Senior Public Speaking – Anna Schmitt, Cecil 4-H Club; Grace Scofield, Heart & Home; and Erin Rice, Clover Patch.
Senior Impromptu Speech – TJ Vercek, Cecil; Anne Marie Costello, Heart & Home; and Heather Robison, Chrome Clovers and Cecil.
Senior Demonstration – Anna Marie Costello, Heart & Home; Alayna Stahlman, Heart & Home; Donny Opp, Nottingham.
Senior Theatrical Arts Presentation – TJ Vercek, Cecil; Heather Robison, Chrome Clovers and Cecil; Erin Rice, Clover Patch.
Junior Impromptu Speech – Emerson Rice, Clover Patch; Gabe Minor, Nottingham; and Marshall Robison, Cecil.
