‘Jungle Cruise’ theme of MVH fundraiser
Monongahela Valley Hospital and its parent company, Mon-Vale Health Resources, will celebrate their 26th annual Gala May 17 at the Westin Convention Center and Hotel in Pittsburgh. The theme is “Jungle Cruise.”
The black-tie fundraiser benefits MVH and attracts nearly 600 guests. Guests will enjoy exotic scenes from the jungle, dinner and entertainment by Finesse, a 14-piece band. A reception with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7.
Dimensions in Performance Awards will be awarded. This year’s winners are:
• VEBH Architects – Rose Award for Dimensions in Philanthropy;
• Dr. Charles N. Lebovitz, a board-certified general surgeon who works on the credentials committee – Sickman-Levin Award for Dimensions in Medicine;
• Louis J. Panza Jr., president and CEO of MVH who has been involved with every major growth initiative undertaken for the past 25 years by MVHR – Pallone Award for Dimensions in Board Leadership;
• Susan Hunter, 91, a retiree from the Area Agency on Aging – Gibbons Award for Dimensions in Community Service;
• Evalyne Ramsden, a retired elementary school teacher who volunteers with the Auxiliary of Mon-Valley Health Resources Inc. – Rossomme Award for Dimensions in Volunteer Service.
