The library continues to accept registration for story time for children 30 months to 5 years old. Sessions are held at 11 a.m. Mondays and 6 p.m. Wednesdays, and include stories, silly songs and a craft. Call the library to register.

TOPS Chapter 1681 meets at 5 p.m. Tuesdays at the library. The group offers support and help in weight-loss efforts. The first meeting is free; yearly membership is $28, with a $1 weekly meeting fee.

The library is a collection site in April for the Boy Scouts’ Scouting for Food program. Canned fruits, vegetables and other products are welcome, as well as sealed, dry packaged foods such as rice, pasta and cereals. Donation boxes will be placed at the entrances of the library, the circulation desk, Children’s Department and the Family Literacy Department. All donations will benefit the local food bank.

Treble in the Making, a series of mini-concerts, will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 11 to kick off National Library Week. All concerts will feature Greene County musicians. Admission is a new or gently used children’s, juvenile or young adult book. Refreshments will be served.

The library will celebrate National Library Week April 13-20 by offering a fine-free week on overdue materials.

Free SAT preparation classes will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5, 12 and 26. Math, language arts and writing will be covered. Bring a scientific calculator, if possible, and a bagged lunch. Advance registration is required by calling the library.

After Hours Girls Night will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. April 11. There will be manicures, pedicures, hair-styling, crafts, snacks and a special Disney version of “Jeopardy.” Call the library to register.
