Claysville American Legion Post 639 recently presented awards to six students at McGuffey Middle School for their courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service. Winners were Jereck Borne, son of Toby and Denise Guidry of Washington; Erich Durbin, son of Richard and Bobbie Durbin of Claysville; Mikalah Maxwell, daughter of Keith and Mary Beth Maxwell of Prosperity; Zoey Maze, daughter of Lucas and Melissa Maze of Washington; Cheyenne Rhoades, daughter of Jason and Denise Rhoades of Prosperity; and Nicholas Stanek, son of Daniel and Christy Stanek of Washington.
