Houston VFD to hold annual Pumpkin Festival

1 min read

Houston Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 31st annual Pumpkin Festival at the American Legion grounds in Houston Friday through Sunday.

The festival is a fundraiser for the fire department. Money raised is used to replace or improve equipment and vehicles. This year’s festival is dedicated to all fallen firefighters and will honor Jack Patsch and Tony Arnone, who had a combined 115 years of service to the community. Both died this year.

There will be more than 175 craft and food booths.

A parade will be held Saturday on Pike Street. Robert Ward will be grand marshal.

Gone South Band and The Jason Craig Band will perform Saturday and Sugarcane Band will perform Sunday.
