Autism Society of Pittsburgh will hold a fundraiser Saturday at West Brownsville Volunteer Fire Department’s social hall, 238 Middle St. Doors open at 6 p.m. A buffet will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will be followed by dancing and raffles. A cash bar will be available. Tickets are $15 and will be available at the door. Reservations are recommended for groups of six or more. Jefferson Township Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the White Church Building, Fire Road. Guest speaker will be Lynn Hill of Weirton, W.Va., a sports historican. He will discuss faith in the community, public schools and the Sports Hall of Fame at Burgettstown Community Library. Hill has been honored for his years of service in promoting and coaching youth athletics, raising scholarship money and honoring local standout athletes. Refreshments will be available. Centerville United Methodist Church, 823 Old National Pike, Brownsville, will hold a community outreach program on domestic violence from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A speaker/trainer from Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania will discuss date violence, how to help and support a victim and what to do to prevent it. The program is free, and refreshments will be served.

The Mental Health Association, 575 N. Main St., Washington, is seeking nominees for “Neighbor” and “Professional” of the year. Nominees should be those who promote good mental health in a significant way. They are willingly to help troubled individuals without prejudice, are good listeners, have a positive attitude and challenge the people around them to be the best they can be. A new category, Corporate Citizen of the Year Award, is meant to recognize employers and businesses who support those who deal with mental health issues. Nomination forms are available by calling 724-225-2061. Nominations are due by May 4. Awards will be presented at the annual dinner May 15 at Southpointe Golf Club.
