Chess Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the lower-level meeting room. Chess Club is open to all ages and all levels of play. Instructors are available. Bring a chess set or borrow one from the library.

Yoga classes will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Monday and Thursday in May. Bring a yoga mat. Cost is $15 per class.

Rite Aid will present a free wellness series for seniors as follows:

• Immunizations and Rite Aid’s Wellness Program – 6 to 7 p.m. May 13.

• Summer Awareness – 1 to 2 p.m. May 20.

A pharmacist will be available to answer questions, and refreshments will be served.

Play & Learn Parent-Toddler Workshop for 1- to 3-year-olds with a parent or caregiver will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. every Wednesday in May and June 3. Each session will include circle time, play time, an art activity and individual time with a community resource professional to discuss children’s health and development issues. Enrollment is limited, and registration is required by calling the Children’s Department.

Family Story Night … at the Movies will begin at 6:30 p.m. May 11. Short movies based on children’s books will be shown, and snacks will be provided. Registration is recommended by May 8.

My Smart Borrowing with PHEAA will be held at 5 p.m. May 12. A PHEAA representative will discuss applying for college loans, scholarships and grants. Register by emailing Jess at teencitizens@gmail.com.

Community Action Southwest will present a program on Post-Secondary Education Transition from 2 to 4 p.m. May 14. Statistics show that a higher level of education is correlated with job stability, increased salary and better health. The goal is to help people in the process of furthering their education so they can one day break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient.

National Chocolate Chip Day will be held May 15. Check out a library book that day from either the children’s or adult departments and get a chocolate chip cookie.

Tween Book Club for sixth- through eighth-graders will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. May 21. Discuss a book of your choosing, eat pizza and make a craft. Register by emailing Jess at teencitizens@gmail.com.

Groundbreaking Reads Book Club will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 21. The book to be discussed will be announced.
