SALTLICK, Pa. (AP) — SALTLICK, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man is celebrating the newest addition to his growing family of miniature horses.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports (http://bit.ly/1KLNAln ) that Jeff Dewitt welcomed the newborn miniature horse Tuesday morning at his property in the White section of Fayette County. The horse has been named Thunder.

Thunder joins eight other miniature horses, one of which was just born a week ago and named Montana. Dewitt says another one of the horses is pregnant.

Fully grown miniature horses are around 34 inches tall and can weigh up to 250 pounds. They are considered therapeutic for children or people with special needs.

Dewitt’s fenced-in property also includes goats, guinea hens, dogs, roosters, geese and even a baby emu.
