Victor and Catherine Patterson of Amity celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Nov. 1 with family and friends at Lone Pine Social Hall. Pastor James Markley officiated the renewing of their vows.

Mr. and Mrs. Patterson were united in marriage November 1, 1965, in Cumberland, Md.

Their children are Catherine (Randy) Thornhill of Monrose, W.Va., Victor (Jackie) Patterson of Mt. Morris and Donald (Crystal) Patterson of Amity.

They have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Patterson served in the U.S. Army, worked for Beth Energy Mine 58 and retired from Mine Safety and Health Administration. Mrs. Patterson is a retired homemaker and volunteers with Marianna Christian Outreach.
