LeMoyne House to host Art in the Garden

2 min read

The Washington County Historical Society will present its 22nd annual Art in the Garden Art Show and Sale from 2 to 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at the LeMoyne House Garden in Washington.

The show will feature regional artists working in a variety of mediums, including clay, glass, mixed media and two-dimensional art.

This year, Art in the Garden will feature several new artists, as well as many of the artists who have displayed their work previously, including students from the Kenneth J. and Shirley Yablonski Arts for Special Needs Program.

Featured artist will be Andrew Knez, whose featured piece, “Frontier Fiddler,” will be on display for sale, along with many of his other pieces in a special tent in the center of the garden.

Awards will include Best in Show, People’s Choice and Buyer’s Awards. Buyer’s Awards are corporate-sponsored awards that enable corporations to choose a piece of artwork for their office or donate that artwork to a nonprofit or school system to encourage art appreciation.

Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students. Children 12 and younger are free. Light hors d’ouevres, catered by Angelo’s Restaurant, will be served throughout the day, in addition to a wine bar with wine provided by Washington Winery. Both food and drinks are free with admission.
