OSP to hold auditions at community center
The Old Schoolhouse Players will hold auditions for their 2016 season from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 24 for musicals only and from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 25 for plays only in the Mt. Pleasant Township Community Center, 20 Wabash Ave., Hickory.
There will be cold readings from scripts. For the musical auditions, performers will need to prepare 16 to 32 bars of music. An accompanist will be provided. Bring a current headshot and résumé.
OSP’s first play, “The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church,” has already been cast. The performance will be held Feb. 26-28 and March 4-6.
The other 2016 productions are:
• “The Somewhat True Tales of Robin Hood” – Saturday matinees in April.
• “Children of Eden” – May 13-15 and 20-22.
• “Footloose” – July 15-17 and 22-24.
• “The Pink Panther Strikes Again” – Oct. 14 and 15 and 21-23.
• “A Gift to Remember” – Dec. 2-4 and 9-11.
