Alec Baldwin set to host Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra event

PITTSBURGH – Alec Baldwin is set to host a one-night Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performance called “Alec’s Playlist.”

The Emmy-winning actor is a classical music enthusiast and will host the April 16 performance at Heinz Hall.

Baldwin and music director Manfred Honeck have developed a program featuring music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Hector Berlioz, Igor Stravinsky and Gustav Mahler.

Baldwin will speak about classical music and its importance to him, including how certain pieces of music have transformed his life.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday and range from $25 to $105.
