Air Force Airman Hanna M. Bobro graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Bobro is a 2012 graduate of Ringgold High School, and her mother is Valerie Bobro of Monongahela.

Kanish is a 2012 graduate of Avella Junior/Senior High School, and his father is Paul Kanish of Avella.
Army Staff Sgt. Edward M. Ruffennach has returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Ruffennach has served in the military for eight years. He is a 2002 graduate of Fort Cherry Junior/Senior High School, and his parents are Edward Ruffennach Jr. and Helen Ruffennach, both of Cincinnati.
