Air Force Capt. Kirstyn D. Caldwell has been named the 59th Medical Operations Group’s Company Grade Officer of the Year. Selection was based on exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, teamwork, significant self-improvement, personal achievements, notable accomplishments, community service and support. Caldwell is an element leader of podiatry services assigned to the 59th Medical Wing at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. She has served in the military for two years. Her husband is Timothy Caldwell, whose parents, Dan and Marilyn Caldwell, reside in Greensboro.
Air Force Airman Shannon L. Kelly graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Kelly is a 2012 graduate of McGuffey High School, and her parents are Susan and William Kelly Jr. of Claysville.
