Rush – 50 years
Duane and Sally Rush of Pikeville, N.C., will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with a drop-in open house reception for family and friends hosted by their children from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Buffalo Township Building.
Mr. and Mrs. Rush were married January 17, 1964, in Frostburg, Md.
Their children are Jeff (Becky) Rush of Greenville, S.C., Rick (Linda) Rush of Contocook, N.H., and Jodi Rush of Pikeville, N.C.
Their grandchildren are Jason, Ashley, Jared, Josh and Jesse Rush and Phil, Rachel, Daniel and Nathan Rush.
Mr. Rush, son of Lawrence and Mabel Rush, grew up in Avella. He worked at Weirton Steel for 16 years. In 1980, he moved to Greenville to study ministry at Bob Jones University. After graduating with a Bible degree, he pastored at Hurst Baptist Church in Sylvania, Ga., for four years and later at Trinity Baptist Church in Goldsboro, N.C., for 18 years. He is retired.
Mrs. Rush, daughter of Frank and Ann Bell, grew up in Pancake.
Both spend their summers ministering at Forest Glen Bible Camp.
