Kuzy – 25 years
Drs. Franklin and Karen Sue Kuzy celebrated their silver wedding anniversary with a 56-day ocean cruise. It departed from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., went around South America and ended with a tour of coastal California. The couple were in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the weekend before Ash Wednesday for Carnival. They also were treated to a sumptuous dinner at Angelo’s Restaurant by good friends Richard Zaharoff and Sandra Robison.
Mr. and Mrs. Kuzy were married July 15, 1989, in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg, by Father Joseph Jugan.
Mr. Kuzy is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After serving as a captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, he practiced as a staff dentist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh until his retirement. Mrs. Kuzy earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania and her doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. She served as an educator and supervisor in Washington School District for 35 years. Both are the proud human companions of a 15-year-old Himalayan feline, Suzy Q.
