Markely – 55 years
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Markely of Bethel Park celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a dinner with their children and their spouses.
The couple were married August 20, 1960, in St. Hilary Church, Washington.
Their children are Rick (Missy) Markely of Finleyville and Pam (Jeff) Podlogar of McCandless.
Their grandchildren are Craig, Tim and Kevin Markely and Jessica and Ryan Podlogar.
Mr. Markely worked for 30 years at U.S. Steel at the Homestead Works, and then owned and operated Bethel Park Transmissions until his retirement in 2009.
Mrs. Markely is employed by James M. Cox & Sons in Bethel Park.
Both are active parishioners at St. Anne Church in Castle Shannon, where Mr. Markely serves weekly as an usher.
