Morris – 63 years
H.L. and Ethel Morris of Ruff Creek celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris were married September 12, 1952, in Winchester, Va.
Their children are Faye (William) VanDevender of Garards Fort, Robert “Rick” (Shiella) Morris of Ruff Creek, Todd (Beth) Morris of Mechanicsburg and Rita (David) Martin of Ruff Creek.
Their grandchildren are Susan (Brian) VanDevender Russell, Kelley Morris, Samantha Morris, Benjamin Morris, Kay Morris and Sara Jessica Morris.
They have five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Morris was a employee of Greyhound Lines Inc. for 17 years while also maintaining a dairy farm. He continued to raise beef cattle until his retirement at age 80. Mr. Morris was instrumental in helping his son, Rick, start Morris Machinery LLC in Ruff Creek. Mrs. Morris is a homemaker who enjoys sewing, baking, gardening and her family.
