Furmanek – 50 years
Dennis and Carol Furmanek of West Finley celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a party given by their children at the Ramada Inn.
Mr. and Mrs. Furmanek were married March 5, 1966, with Justice of the Peace Albert Ferralli officiating. They held a service May 13, 1976, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with Father Ferdinand Lech officiating.
Their children are Dennis (Amy) Furmanek II of Claysville, Denise (Eddie) Musolino of West Alexander and the late Rhonda.
Their grandchildren are Kimberly and Mia, Lucas and Logan and Trinity and Denny III and their stepgrandchildren are Eddie, Dylan and Anthony.
They have one great-grandchild.
Mr. Furmanek served four years in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He was a bricklayer for 38 years with Local 9 and is now retired. He is an avid hunter, going out West in the fall to hunt elk. Mrs. Furmanek has always been a stay-at-home mom and enjoys spending time with her family.
