Leslie – 65 years
James and Rose Marie Leslie celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a party given by their daughter, Linda Leslie-McNamee of Clear Spring, Md., and their son and wife, Jeffrey and Onieta Leslie, at their home in Washington. The bride and groom were honored by the presence of many friends and relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie were married October 21, 1950, in Center Presbyterian Church, McMurray, officiated by the Rev. Ross Haverfield.
They have four grandchildren, Master Sgt. James E. Leslie, Staff Sgt. Sarah Leslie, Shannon McNamee Socks and Casey Mae McNamee.
They have two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Leslie was a heavy construction superintendent for Louis M. McMaster Inc. and Dick Corp. Both are active volunteers at the kitchen of the Senior Community Center in Venetia and serve on the board of The Venetia Heritage Society. In October, they marked their 63rd year anniversary as members of Peters Creek United Presbyterian Church, Venetia, where Mr. Leslie serves as an elder.
