Tom and Margie Harrington of Washington celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with a family party at their home that included their four sons, five of their grandchildren and Mrs. Harrington’s 93-year-old mother, Dorothy Weaver.

Mr. and Mrs. Harrington were married June 23, 1956, in Washington, with the Rev. Arthur Hays officiating.

The couple have four sons, Jeff (Jeannie) of Knob Noster, Mo., Tom (Cyndee) of Woodbury, Minn., Mark (Roberta) of Prosperity and Scott of Washington.

Their grandchildren are Jannah Marie Bentley, Jacie Harrington, Justin Harrington, Jennifer Marie Krug, Andrew Harrington, Katherine Marie Harrington and Paul Harrington. They also have seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Harrington was a longtime Teamster, retiring from New Penn Motor Express. He previously was a driver for Blue Diamond Trucking and CCC Highway.

Mrs. Harrington is a retired associate of JCPenney.

Both are longtime members of Abundant Life Baptist Church, formerly Allison Avenue Baptist. Mr. Harrington is active with the dartball league and devotions program, and Mrs. Harrington is a member of the choir.
