The annual California University of Pennsylvania Holiday Student Pottery Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the Ceramics Studio near Vulcan Hall on Cal U.’s main campus. There will be an array of mugs, bowls, pitchers, jars and vases created by members of the Student Pottery Association. Complimentary refreshments will be served. Miss Merry Christmas Pageant will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Washington Crown Center. Everyone receives a crown and trophy. Girls and boys are welcome to participate. Washington County Conservation District is accepting nominations for directors and associate directors. Conservation districts in Pennsylvania are subdivisions of state government that manage and direct conservation programs. The district board meets monthly. Board members are not paid, but may recieve compensation for expenses related to attending meetings and other activities of the board. Individuals interested in serving as a director or associate director need to be nominated by an approved nomination organization within the county and submitted by Dec. 15.
