Greene proclaims Education Week
Greene County Commissioners proclaimed the week of Nov. 13 as American Education Week. The proclamation recognizes public schools as the backbone of our democracy as they provide young people with the tools needed to maintain our nation’s values of freedom, civility and equality. Public schools equip young Americans with both practical skills and broader intellectual abilities that give them hope for, and access to, a productive future. The proclamation also recognizes the education employees that work tirelessly to serve our children and communities with care and professionalism.
