Greene CTC students face challenging program
Students at Greene County CTC were recently introduced to The Challenge Program during a kick-off assembly at their school. The assembly theme was Classroom Feud: Workplace Edition. The game show spin-off revealed to students the right answers to the important questions for career-readiness and success both in and beyond the classroom and how to earn cash incentives. Throughout the year, students in grades 10, 11 and 12 will be eligible to compete for financial awards in five areas linked with academic and workplace success: attendance, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), community service, academic improvement and academic excellence. During the assembly, students were introduced to local career opportunities with Dominion Energy, the 2017-18 sponsoring business partner for Greene County CTC. This was made possible by a grant from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation for $5,000.
