On Dec. 2, the Cecil No. 3 VFD Ladies Auxiliary held its annual “Lunch with Santa.” After riding through the neighborhoods on a firetruck, Santa stopped at the fire hall to greet more than 130 children. The children enjoyed lunch, face painting, cookie decorating and ornament making, and games organized by volunteer youth members, while waiting to have their pictures taken with Santa. An auction for both children and adults was also held. To close out the event, the Ladies Auxiliary presented the firemen with a check for $12,500, which they raised throughout the year during fundraisers and special events.
