As part of our commitment to our region, the Observer Publishing Company is proud to produce community events throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. From the Auto Show to the Corks and Kegs beer festival, our 2018 events have something for everyone. 

 

Kids Fest

Saturday, March 17

Kids Fest is a free, fun-filled day of activities for the whole family. The day features inflatable fun zones, live stage entertainment, sports and fitness areas, health and wellness zones, cooking and healthy eating exhibits and sports demos. There is also the Kids Fest Marketplace, where regional vendors have products and services for the whole family, as well as many local resources and organizations aimed at enriching families’ lives.

Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival

The Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival is an annual event filled with dozens of the region’s best food trucks, plus live music and entertainment, craft beer and wine, regional artisans and vendors, a kids’ area and lots more.

Washington County Auto Show

June 15-17

The Washington County Auto Show is an annual event that features dozens of cars, trucks and motorcycles, and is a free event open to the public. The event features area dealerships, live entertainment, regional food trucks and restaurants, family-friendly entertainment, and local businesses and artisans in our Auto Show Marketplace.

Corks & Kegs

August 25-26

The two-day Corks & Kegs Festival continues today at The Meadows Casino in North Strabane Township where, in the beer tent Saturday, Rachell Henderson of Finleyville served a Stoney’s draft to Jason Oslowski of Donora.

Corks & Kegs is Washington County’s premiere craft beer festival, and is quickly become one of the region’s largest craft beer events. This two-day event is FREE to enter, and packed with dozens of craft beers, regional wine, locally produced spirits, food trucks, live music, vendors and artisans, a classic car cruise and much more!

Farm to Fork (Greene County)

Farm to Fork Greene County

Farm to Fork events celebrate the farm to table movement. Each year, we return to Thistlethwaite Vineyards for an evening of food, wine, and entertainment, where event-goers can sample exclusive delicacies from local and regional restaurants made from hand grown local farms, enjoy live music, and explore the vineyards by hayride or enjoy a glass of wine fireside. The evening also includes a pig roast, cooking demonstrations, interactive booths and artisans, shopping from regional vendors, and entertainment all day.

First Fridays

First Fridays is a monthly celebration of music, arts, culture, shopping, great food, and more in the heart of Downtown Washington. People from all over the region can meet with artists and local business owners, listen to live music, and eat and drink the best of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Bring the whole family to this FREE unique experience! First Fridays is a summer-long event happening on the first Friday of each month.

Holiday Market

Friday, December 7

The Community Pavilion on South Main Street in Downtown Washington is transformed into a winter wonderland packed with shopping, food, children’s activities and live holiday entertainment. Plus, Santa Claus stops by for photos with kids! This all-day events occurs the same day as the big Washington Holiday Parade.
