Robinson – 70 years
Lee and Billie Robinson of Hickory will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with dinner with family.
Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were married October 23, 1947, at Mt. Prospect United Presbyterian Church in Hickory.
Their children are Jeanine (Ken) Miles of Hickory and the late Terry Robinson.
Their grandchildren are Shannon Miles, Abby Miles and the late Kylee Miles. They have one great-grandchild.
The couple has spent their entire married life living on the family farm in Hickory, where Mr. Robinson was a dairy farmer. He later was employed by Petro Clean from where he retired.
Mrs. Robinson retired as the manager of Bellmead, the independent-living facility on the campus of Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington.
Both Lee and Billie are members of the Hickory E.U.P. Church and both are the last remaining charter members of the Mt. Pleasant Township Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary. They remain active in the community and with family activities.
