Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church, Canonsburg, will host a Pharaoh’s Palace of Plagues tour with treats from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. For information, call 724-746-1330.

A chicken & biscuit dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Claysville Christian Church. Dinner includes creamed chicken over biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. Take out will be available. A freewill offering will be accepted.

The Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will host a public star party, beginning at dusk on Saturday at the Mingo Creek Observatory, located near shelter 10 in Mingo Creek County Park, off of Route 136 in Eighty Four. The program will be cancelled if it is cloudy or rainy. There is no fee and reservations are not required. For information about the observatory, visit www.3ap.org.

Brownsville Borough Council will hold a parade, forming at the South Brownsville Volunteer Fire Company, 530 Water St., at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The parade begins at noon. Calvary Chapel members will be stationed at the ending point, the Cast Iron Amphitheater, with hot dogs, drinks, and treats for the parade participants. Their band will be playing gospel music for entertainment.

Illusionist Josh Knotts will perform at 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Pleasant Township Community Center. The show will benefit Hickory Lions charities and the community center’s new seating fund drive, which aims to replace 220 seats. The cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children. The performance will be broadcast by HTTV, Hickory.

Fish Clan Youth Group will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Smock Road, Smock, for a bonfire. This is a once-a-month gathering of youth ages 11 to 17. Youth do not have to belong to any church to join the group. Meet for Bible study, spiritual fellowship, mission, games, movies and snacks. For information, call the Rev. Carmichaels Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the annual Halloween parade at 2 p.m. Sunday in the town square. Children will line up at Yoskovich Funeral Home parking lot beginning at 1:45 p.m. and led to the town square by the Carmichaels Jr. Sr. High School band. Children will be judged in costume in age groups 4 and younger, 5-9 and 10-12 years of age for prizes. Disc jockey Dave Plavi will provide music.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Christian Mothers will hold their annual ham and pierogie dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in McCashion Hall, 1109 Main St., Burgettstown. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Dinner includes ham, pierogies, green beans almondine, salad, roll and dessert.
