A spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit the World War I memorial relocation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Waynesburg Lodge No. 153, Giant Eagle Plaza. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 10.

A monthly meeting of the Monongahela Area Historical Society will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Parlor Room of the First Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess Street, Monongahela. A brief, members-only business meeting will be held at 6:30 followed by the historical presentation “What Dr. Taylor Had to Say: A History of the W.P. Washington Opioid Overdose Coalition will hold a parent program as part of the Strength in Our Community series at 6 p.m. Thursday at Charleroi Area High School. The talk, “Hidden in Plain Sight,” will focus on learning what’s in your child’s bedroom.
The food bank at Calvin U.P. Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville, is seeking volunteers to help unload the food at 8:45 a.m. April 27 and to distribute the food at 9:15 a.m. April 28. Food distribution begins at 10 a.m. The next distribution date is May 26.
American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life & Vendor Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 28 in the Museum Building, South Park. Canines and their owners are welcome to walk in the park, view demonstrations and visit vendors. At 12:30 p.m., members of the Broughton Fire Department will be supporting the 6th annual Bone Drop Raffle by dropping 1,000 bones from the bucket of a ladder truck, with the help of a cancer survivor, to determine the winner of the raffle. Parishioners, alumni, family and friends of the former St. George Church & School and St. John Vianney will host a St. George Spaghetti Dinner at 4 p.m. May 19 at St. Pius X Auditorium, 2336 Brownsville Road, Carrick.
