Snyder to host kids festival
In a revival of the popular Child Fest format that ended a few years ago, state Rep. Pam Snyder will host her inaugural Kids Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greene County Fairgrounds.
The event will include games, activities and information for parents and guardians, plus a free lunch. There will be tips and instruction on child safety for both children and adults. Snyder and her staff will help with state government-related programs, services and problems. She will also host a 1 p.m. Reading Corner, where each child will be given a free book to take home. There will be a duck-pond game and costumed children’s characters, plus pets available for adoption through the Greene County Humane Society, iPads for STEM and OSMO demonstrations, car seat safety demonstrations, fire truck and fire simulator, and food assistance program information.
