The operator of the Meadows Casino in North Strabane Township has been fined $80,000 for allowing unauthorized employees to provide more than $830,000 in complimentary services, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported this week.

Washington Trotting Assoc. Inc.’s fine, according to the board, relates to services provided from 2009 to 2017 by employees who were not authorized to do so. All licensed facilities have employees who are authorized to issue complimentary services up to a specific amount.

The gaming board also fined Valley Forge Convention Center Partners L.P., operator of the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Montgomery County, a total of $80,000. It issued two fines – $50,000 for failure to prevent fraudulent transactions by an employee, and $30,000 for table game violations.
