CFGC awards $25k in grants
Community Foundation of Greene County (CFGC) recently announced a distribution of 15 grants totaling more than $25,000 as a part of CFGC’s summer Community grants, E.I.T.C. Educational Improvement Grants and a donor-advised fund grant.
Funding for 11 community grants was provided through the foundation’s unrestricted Nancy I. Davis Fund and the Bob Bradford Fund, along with several Field of Interest Funds including the Good for Greene Fund, Fund for Arts & Culture, Fund for Community and Economic Development, Harvest Fund, Kathleen Hamilton Davis & William R. Davis Memorial Fund, Fund for Children & Youth Services, and the Fund for Health and Human Service and the Cindy’s Wind Fund for Women and Girls.
Three grants were awarded through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (E.I.T.C.) Educational Improvement Fund.
One grant was awarded from the Early Intervention Enrichment Fund, a donor-advised fund to support parent and child activities in early intervention programs.
“The Community Foundation of Greene County is honored to be the vehicle to provide these grants that support our local community,” said CFGC Board Chairman Dr. Morris Harper. “These grants are made possible because of people who cared about Greene County established these funds to make grants back to the community, with the ability to meet the changing needs over many, many years.”

- Cornerstone Care, Inc. – Smile for Life Oral Health Outreach -$2,000
- Flenniken Public Library – Employment Pathways – $2,000
- Greene County Department of Recreation – 2019 Summer Day Camp -$2,000
- Greene County Historical Society – Stone to Steel Project-$ 1,500
- Linus Project – Blanketeer Parties Project -$500
- Nathanael Greene Community Development Corporation – Art Blast on the Mon – $1,000
- Waynesburg University – Equipment for Research/ Learning -$1,350
- Waynesburg University – WU Go Girl Event -$500 – Cindy’s Wind Fund for Women and Girls
Early Intervention Enrichment Fund Grant
- STARS Foundation – Early Intervention – $3,000
E.I.T.C. Educational Improvement Grants (for public schools)
- Central Greene School District – WCES Fab Lab/Maker Space – $2,000
- Jefferson-Morgan School District – Outdoor Learning Center – $2,000
- Southeastern Greene School District – Artist in Residence Program – $2,000
