Gospel music festival planned

One Voice Music Festival will be held Aug. 31-Sept. 2, at 590 Steubenville Pike, Paris (in the lot next to Victory Life Church). Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, and 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

This free gospel music event will feature vocal groups from the area as well as Ohio and Maryland. There will be a children’s ministry tent with activities, a prayer tent, a welcome center and food.

Crucible hike supports veterans

On Sept. 7, a group of 75 supporters of Veterans Leadership Program of Western PA will hike for three days in the Laurel Highlands along the trails with full gear packs to show their support for veterans.

The hike lasts 70 miles with support from UPMC Sports Medicine along the way to keep the hikers safe and healthy. In the past two years, VLP has raised over $100,000 from the Crucible Hike to benefit its cause of helping veterans.
