Washington School District’s Annual Holiday Concert will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, in the high school auditorium. The junior and senior high music departments will offer traditional Christmas carols sung by a choir, Caribbean-style songs on steel pan drums, jazz ensembles and symphonic renditions. The performance is dedicated to former music and band director David Dayton, who lost his battle with cancer this past September. New band director Stephen Cherry will be introduced at this concert.

Washington Hospital Auxiliary will hold a Collective Goods Sale (formerly Books are Fun) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 20 and 21, in the Surgical Services 2 Room.

Help is needed for the Food Bank at Calvin U.P. Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville, at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, to unload. Help is needed again at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, to distribute the food. Food distribution begins at 10. The next distribution date is Jan. 26, 2019.
