The Daughters of the King will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Meloni’s Restaurant, 105 W. Main Street, Uniontown, for a Ladies Night Out. Each participant will pay for her dinner at this ladies-only gathering of Christian women. For information, call Carol at 724-322-6846.

The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, 215 Church St., Brownsville.

Monongahela Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Monongahela Chamber Center, 211 W. Main St. The meeting will include Mon Valley history digital storytelling, featuring 13 brief videos about the Mon Valley. Light refreshments will be served and donations will be accepted. A brief MAHS members-only business meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the MAHS Museum, 230 W. Main Street. A winter candy sale will be held in Washington Hospital’s Community Room from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Fudge, pretzels, peanut butter meltaways, salted caramels, popcorn and more will be offered by Hockman Candy. Cash, credit and WHS employee payroll deduction available.

Dartball and games will be played at 7 p.m. Friday at Friendship Community Church, 1090 Weirich Ave., Washington.

Help is needed at 8:45 a.m. Friday to unload for the food bank at Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville. Help is also needed at 9:15 a.m. Saturday to distribute the food. Food distribution begins at 10 a.m. The next distribution date is March 24.

The Washington County Home Show will be held Feb. 23-25 at the Washington County Fairgrounds, and feature more than 100 indoor exhibits, seminars and demonstrations. Hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission and parking are free. Saturday’s show will feature an “Ask the Expert Q&A” with Andy Amrhein at 2. Washington County Parks and Recreation will offer basic snowshoe instruction followed by a hike on modern showshoes at 5 p.m. Friday at Mingo Creek Park. Participants will meet at the park office. There must be four inches of snow to have the program. If there is not enough snow, a hike will be offered. There is no fee for the program, but available snowshoes are limited.
