A community dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday in Fellowship Hall at Rogersville United Methodist Church. Peters Township High School Thespians will host “The Parisian Night Fashion Show and Charity Fundraiser” from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Valley Brook Country Club, 425 Hidden Valley Road, McMurray. The afternoon will include a light lunch, a runway show featuring Peters Township High School students modeling the latest prom fashions, student musical performances and shopping. Vendors will be available selling a variety of accessories, cosmetics and toiletries. Tickets are $20. Guests bringing a cat food or dog food donation will receive a chance to win a prize basket. The Washington Rotary Club’s 16th annual charity Trivia Contest starts at 7 p.m. March 9. Doors open at 6 p.m. Each team plays for its designated charity. First place team receives $1,250, second place team receives $750 and the third place team receives $500. Entry fee is $35 per person and includes snacks and beverages. Peters Township Citizens Police Academy is scheduled for March 6 through April 24. Participants will be taught the basics of criminal law with emphasis on the crimes code and vehicle code. A spaghetti dinner to support Ryan, Brittnie, Liliahna and Layla Smith, who recently lost their home, possessions and cat in a fire, is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. March 8 at Trinity South Elementary School, 2500 S. Main St. Ext., Washington (last meals will be served at 7:30). Liliahna and Layla are students at the school. The menu will include spaghetti and meatballs (donated by Angelo’s Restaurant), salad, dessert, soda and water (donated by Ameron). An auction and Vendor Blender, featuring more t han 24 vendors, will also be held. Tickets to the dinner are $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under.
