St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held today at First United Methodist Church, 215 Church St., Brownsville. Pickup is between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. New clients can register. The next distribution date is Feb. 21.
Free spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Canonsburg First United Methodist Church, 161 W. Pike St., Canonsburg. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, rolls, dessert and a beverage. Gluten-free option is available. The congregations and friends of Fort Burd Presbyterian Church, Route 166-200, Thornton Road, Brownsville, will be collecting “Mommy and Me” toiletries for the Fayette County Women’s Abuse Shelter. Items needed include bottles, baby wipes, diapers, duffle bags, soaps, shampoos and other toiletries. Items can be dropped off in the kitchen from 9 a.m. to noon through Sunday. Clothing and toys are not needed and therefore will not be accepted. Monetary donations are welcome via check written out to Fort Burd United Presbyterian Check with “Women’s Shelter” in the memo line. For information, call 724-785-3080.
There is Hope, a Christ-centered addiction recovery ministry, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 22 and 29 at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. A gathering of pastoral leaders of faith in Fayette County, sponsored by the Fayette County Commissioners’ Office, will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at Cherry Tree Alliance Church, 640 Cherry Tree Lane, Uniontown.
