Maverick Glaum, son of Margarita and Eric Glaum of Avella, was named to the spring dean’s list at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. A cinematography major, he is a 2017 graduate of Avella Area High School.
Sierra Kotchman, daughter of Tracy and Jackie Kotchman of Washington, was named to the president’s dean’s list for the spring semester at Fairmont State University with a 4.0 GPA. A business administration major, she is a member of the Fairmont State women’s basketball team. Sierra is a 2017 graduate of Trinity High School. She is a granddaughter of Jean A. Hoffman and Samuel J. Bonus, both of Washington.
Emma Ott, daughter of Maureen and Michael Ott of Eighty Four, was named to the spring president’s list at Elon University. Ott, who is double majoring in finance and statistics, is in her sixth consecutive semester of making the president’s list. She is an Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellow, chapter vice president for Phi Kappa Phi national honor society, chapter vice president for Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society, a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, university tour guide, student ambassador in the Professional Development Center, and a teaching assistant and tutor. Ott is a 2015 graduate of Ringgold High School. She is interning this summer in the Credit Risk Division of Goldman Sachs in New York City.
Tritan Plute, son of Amy (Molinaro) and Timothy Plute of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Pittsburgh. A neuroscience/biology major on a pre-med track, he is minoring in creative writing and chemistry with a certificate program in medieval history. Tritan is a member of the Pitt Med Club and traveled to Ecuador over spring break to volunteer. Tristan is a 2017 graduate of the Linsly School in Wheeling, W.Va.
Spencer Terling, son of Kristy and Sean Terling of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list at Carnegie Mellon University, where he is a running back/H-back on the Tartan Football Team, a student mentor for the CRU Organization, and a member of the Tartan Athlete Fellowship. An economics/statistics major, he is a 2017 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
