Volunteer connection

Can you help someone an hour or two a week, or a month? Faith in Action, one of TRPIL’s services, needs caring volunteers to assist senior citizens or individuals with disabilities to remain independent. Some recent requests are:
- McMurray family needs caregiver relief a few hours per week to help with grandmother who has early Alzheimer’s disease.
- Middle-aged Canonsburg stroke survivor needs assistance with organizing paperwork, vi
- siting and rides to the store.
- Washington family needs caregiver relief a few hours a week for a nonverbal senior with dementia.
- Burgettstown senior needs assistance with laundry. After hip surgery, he will not be able to go up and down stairs a lot.
- Meadow Lands woman needs caregiver relief to assist 90+ elderly mother with meals and friendly visits when she is out of town for work.
- Monongahela senior needs friendly visits and help with meals.
- Claysville senior woman needs weekly help with laundry.
- Washington woman with various health issues needs rides for shopping, errands and friendly visits.
- Washington senior veteran needs rides or escort assistance to his appointments. His walker will fit in a car.
- Grass cutting help is needed in Canonsburg, Charleroi and throughout the county.
