American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, 168 Park Ave., Washington, will perform its annual flag burning ceremony at 7 p.m. Thursday. A symbolic American flag will be burned, and its ashes buried in the designated area on the American Legion grounds beside the World War II tank. A reception for photographer Albert Hall will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Athena Sarris Gallery in Frank Sarris Public Library, Canonsburg. Refreshments will be served.

American Legion Post 175, Washington, will hold its annual election of officers and board positions from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at the post hall. All members are encouraged to vote.

St. Patrick Parish, Canonsburg, will hold its annual summer festival from 5 to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Grand raffle is $10,000 (drawing on Sunday). There will be games, rides, entertainment, theme baskets, bingo, book sale and bake sale. Featured dinners will be chicken on Thursday, fish on Friday and pasta on Saturday. Homemade ethnic favorites, festival foods and funnel cakes will be available each night.

Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an evening of music in Mingo Creek County Park Thursday4. The Campfire Jam Night will begin at 7 p.m. at Shelter 4. Musicians who play an instrument are welcome to share their talent, but listeners are also welcome. Bring a chair or blanket; light refreshments will be served. Crossroads Ministries, Finleyville, will hold June Jamboree at 6 p.m. Friday.
