Community celebration planned

Waynesburg Lions Club, with the Greene County commissioners, Consol Energy and CNX, will present the July 4 Community Celebration, starting with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at the 4-H Building at the Greene County Fairgrounds.

A car, truck and cycle show and judging will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Lions Club will be at the fairgrounds providing concession food sales, and Rocky Ridge Acres will give free wagon rides for kids.

The Little Miss Firecracker pageant begins at 6 p.m. in front of the main grand stand, followed by Brother Short Band until 9 p.m., at which time a dedication ceremony with colors by the Waynesburg American Legion and VFW and patriotic music by Kate Graham.

The fireworks display begins at approximately 9:30 p.m.
