MVH elects board

Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) and its parent organization, Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc., (MVHR) recently re-elected R. Carlyn Belczyk as chairman, Jeff M. Kotula as vice chairman and Bradley M. Bassi as secretary of their boards.

Belczyk is a certified public accountant who is accredited in business valuations and is a certified valuation analyst. She was first appointed to the MVH and MVHR boards in 2005. She was elected secretary in 2007, vice chairman in 2010 and chairman in 2015.

Kotula, who is president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, was elected to the Board of Directors of Mon-Vale in 2008 and to the hospital’s Board of Trustees in 2009. Kotula began serving as the secretary to both boards in 2010 and vice chairman of those boards in 2015.

Bassi is an attorney who is a partner with Bassi, Vreeland & Associates, PC in Charleroi. He was elected to the MVHR and MVH boards in 2012 and was elected secretary in 2017.

In addition to the election of officers, 11 directors were re-elected to the MVHR board, including John Glaneman, Dr. John A. Holets, Kotula, Dr. Michal Lementowski, Mark D. McGinley, William J. Miller Jr., Charles Muia, Matthew M. Pitzarella, Karen L. Quinto, Kurt R. Salvatori and Charles W. Zubritsky III.

Six directors were also re-elected to Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Board of Trustees, including Kotula, Lementowski, Miller, Muia, Pitzarella and Salvatori.
