A Bentworth birthday
From left, Susie Macik, principal, and Michelle Schrieber, secretary of Bentworth Elementary School, delivered more than 400 birthday cards made by the school’s students for Ann Rebich, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Valentine’s Day. The students, in kindergarten through fourth grade, made the cards during a one-week period. The cards contained crayon-colored images and personal notes. One of the students heard about Ann Rebich after reading a Facebook post about her by a neighbor. The student asked Macik if the school could do something for Ann. “This made me so happy,” said Ann Rebich. “The children made me feel really loved and special.”
