Jefferson United Methodist Church will hold a creamed chicken over biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. today in Jefferson Community Center, 190 Jefferson Road. The menu will include mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, country-style green beans, candy carrots, desserts and beverage. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Take-out is available.

New Freeport Ladies Auxiliary will hold a country music event from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the New Freeport fire hall. Country Sounds will perform from 7 to 8:30. Ambassadors for Christ will perform from 8:30 to 10. Admission is $5.
Greene County Master Gardeners will sponsor a Spring Gardening Seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the 4-H Building at the Greene County Fairgrounds. The event will include door prizes, a silent auction and refreshments. Cost is $18. The Ladies of Charity at St. Francis of Assisi, Finleyville, will hold bingo beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, in the church hall. The first card is $5 with each additional card $1. There will be raffles, door prizes and refreshments. Proceeds benefit the Ladies of Charity organization, which helps families in Finleyville and surrounding areas.
Men of Friendship’s Spring Sing at Friendship Baptist Church, 17 E. Walnut Street, Washington, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. There will be song and praise by gospel artist Zanetta Wingfield.
An Easter cantata, “Come to the Cross,” will be presented by the Bentworth Community Choir at 7 p.m. Sunday at Christ Anglican Church, 319 Church St., Brownsville, and again at 7 p.m. March 24 at Christian Assembly of God Church, 100 Meadow St., Bentleyville.
Jefferson College Historical Society will hold Canonsburg Show and Tell at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Canonsburg Elks Lodge, 600 Ridge Ave. Doors open at 1. Attendees are welcome to share old Canonsburg items – advertising, pottery, uniforms, photographs, etc. – from the history of the town. Amwell Township Historical Society will hold its first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. Mondayin the Amwell Township Municipal Building. Seniors for Safe Driving will offer a mature driver improvement course to help drivers understand how aging affects driving abilities and provide insight about driving. The next course will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at West Newton Senior Center. Courses are PennDOT approved and designed for drivers age 55 and older. Volunteers are being sought for the Covering the Blue organization, which crochets thin blue line afghans for wounded police and corrections officers.
