Memorial wall to honor those lost to addiction
A concert fundraiser to benefit Light of Life Rescue Mission, a Pittsburgh nonprofit that has been working with the homeless and addicted since 1952, will be held on March 24. Come Together – Fight Addiction Benefit Concert will be held from 6:30 to 11:15 p.m. at Georgetown Centre, 526 East Bruceton Road, Pleasant Hills.
In addition to the concert by Beatles tribute band “Come Together” and a buffet dinner, there will be a memorial wall with pictures to remember loved ones who have lost their lives to addiction. Those wanting to add their loved one to the memorial wall should contact Rachel Kaufman at rachelkaufman51@yahoo.com by March 15.
“We organized this event to remember those who have lost their battle, and to honor those who are still fighting the fight every day,” said Karen Pesich, one of the volunteer event planners.
