Ashley Pettit and Chad Watts were united in marriage on September 30, 2017, at Springwood Conference Center in Penn Hills, where a reception followed. Fran Bertonaschi officiated the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Lois and Karl Pettit of Washington. Her grandparents are Eugene and the late Betty Pettit of Panama City Beach, Fla., and the late Louis and Lenora Matullo of Washington.

Parents of the bridegroom are Karen Watts and John Watts, both of North Canton, Ohio. His grandparents are Rosemarie and the late Roderick Watts of Canton, Ohio, and Antoinette and Ronald Packman of Uniontown, Ohio.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Rebecca Weber of Los Angeles, Calif. (formerly of Washington), friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Clark of Cleveland, Ohio, friend of the bride; Ashley Gerardot of Canton, Ohio, friend of the bride; and Veronica Loar of Claysville, niece of the bride.

Jonathan Geihsler of New York, N.Y., friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Patrick Dahl of Chicago, Ill., friend of the groom; and Patrick Walsh of Columbus, Ohio, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Nathaniel Pettit of Claysville, nephew of the bride.

The reader was Ryan Watts of Canton, Ohio, brother of the groom. Darla Miller of Washington, family friend of the Pettit’s, was the pianist.

The bride is a graduate of Washington High School and Kent State University. She is a teacher at Akron Public Schools.

Mr. Watts is a graduate of North Canton High School and Kent State University. He works in I.T. at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.

After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple makes their home in North Canton, Ohio.
