Local individuals and organizations are welcome to help place flags at the graves of veterans for Memorial Day with American Legion Post 175 at 9 a.m. Friday. Volunteers are asked to meet at McKennan Circle in Washington Cemetery.

Peters Township Police Department will hold Coffee with a Cop from 8 to 9 am. Friday at Eat ‘n’ Park Restaurant, 3380 Washington Road 1, McMurray. Ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in Peters Township.

Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, Route 166-200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, will hold its annual rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Donated items may be dropped off at the church between 8:30 a.m. and noon today. For information, call 724-785-3080. Proceeds go toward the mission of the Presbyterian Women’s Association.

A pasta and meatball dinner will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Road, Eighty Four. Takeout will be available. A donation of $8 per adult or $4 per child age 10 and under will be taken. For more information, call 724-225-3431.
