Washington Opioid Overdoes Coalition will hold Strength in our Community: Parents – Learn what’s in your child’s bedroom “Hidden in Plain Sight,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Trinity Area High School Auditorium, featuring real-life recovery stories. Speakers include Gene Vittone, Washington County district attorney; Cheryl Andrews, Washington Drug & Alcohol; Washington County sheriff’s office; Amy Watkins, Brooks Had a Secret; Sandy Kotwica, Chip’s mom; Joel West, SAP Program; and a recovery speaker. Martha Washington Garden Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at First Lutheran Church, 92 W. Walnut Street, Washington. A meeting will follow a light lunch. Dan Sitler, a game warden for South Strabane Township, will present a program on coyotes and discuss the coyote situation in the area. There will also be a seed and plant exchange.

Chartiers Township Community Center offers Line Dance 101 classes from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, May 15 and 29, at the community Center. Classes are for the beginner line dancer or those who haven’t dance for a while. Cost is $5. No registration is needed. For information, call the community center at 724-485-2126.

The Donora Public Library will hold a Medicare 101 workshop from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 17, for those already on Medicare and those approaching age 65. Chuck Karolewski, CIC, CLU of Greater Pittsburgh Insurance Consultants Inc., will explain Medicare, how it works, and how to make it work for you.
