Morgan Eytcheson of Canonsburg won first place in the Undergraduate Student Poster Competition at the 13th Annual Women in Mathematics, Science and Technology Program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Eytcheson, daughter of Traci Eytcheson and Mark Eytcheson, received the award for her research on “Allegheny Woodrat Food Preference,” with Chelsea Buell and under faculty advisor Dr. Michael Tyree. The biology major is a member of Eco Club, Strategies for Ecology Education Diversity and Sustainability club, Tabletop Gaming club vice president and presented at the Society for Freshwater Science in 2017. She is a 2014 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Tyler Maceiko, son of Donna and Rick Maceiko of Canonsburg, graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a criminal justice degree. While at Cal U., he was a member of the Crime Scene Investigation Team. Tyler is the grandson of Frances Maceiko of Canonsburg and Edward Wiszczor of Washington. He is a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Jamie Moore, daughter of Paula and James Moore of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list at Waynesburg University for the fourth consecutive semester. The nursing major is a member of the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania. Jamie is a 2016 graduate of Washington High School.
Amber Travis, daughter of Nancy and Jay Travis of Avella, graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in safety management. The 2015 graduate of McGuffey High School has accepted an internship with Aldridge Electric Company and plans to move to Chicago, Ill.
Trevor R. Wood, son of Kathy R. Novotney of Bentleyville and Wilbur R. Wood of Amity, graduated from Mercyhurst University with a degree in environmental science. He is a 2013 graduate of Bentworth High School.
